Is He Calling You to Belize?
In the past the Blair’s have sat in many missionary conferences and presentations and seen slides of spiritually needy people, usually in far away places, they often felt compassion and a tug from the Holy Spirit about “what about us?”. Then the practical necessity of language school, deputation, raising support and a host of local, home responsibilities, drew them to the obvious conclusion that prayer and financial support was what He wanted them to do. Then came this Belizean adventure, which has developed into a moving, in addition to a calling.
They know that He is in control of all things and that as long as they “love Him and are called according to His purpose”, he will insure that everything will work out for their good. They came here thinking He was blessing them with a great home on the beach and the opportunity to help family members develop their business. Soon the surrounding spiritual need opened their eyes to the possibility that the Lord had far bigger things in mind.
Naturally, to become and remain a reality, the Lord must raise up six committed individuals, churches, or missionary groups to become “owner sponsors” and serve on the board for the Christian resort. Each sponsor would “own their own villa for only $200,000 with only $25,000 down and the Blair’s financing the balance. He has taken the Blair’s from owning a nice beach house on the ocean to perhaps coordinating an extremely needed Christian Retreat Center. They sincerely covet your prayers and active participation if God burdens your heart and mind. We also need a missionary couple to act as retreat directors. The needs are tremendous, but our God is more than able. Please pray and share your thoughts and heart with us.
